How it works

One deal in. Everything unlocked.

The whole model is built on reciprocity: you contribute one data point, you get access to all of them.

Community-verified data: anonymous, self-reported creator deals. A segment's figures unlock only once it has 5 or more approved deals — the threshold is enforced server-side in SQL.

Industry estimates: cited public rate reports. Shown only when fewer than 5 community-logged deals exist for a segment. Each estimate links to its source and is replaced automatically the moment that segment crosses 5 logged deals.

Who can contribute: Comped is a creators-only tool. Brands do not and cannot submit data, claim a profile, or sign in. Every figure on this site comes from a creator who logged the deal.

Negotiate with evidence

Counter low offers with data. "My niche benchmark for 50K–100K YouTube creators is $X,000" is a much stronger position than gut feeling. Brands respect data.

Common questions

Is it really anonymous?

Yes. Deal submissions are stored without any creator identifier. Your email unlocks your account but is never tied to a deal record.

What if I've never had a deal?

You can still browse the benchmarks pages for free; they're public. Logging a deal unlocks the interactive filter tool and rate cards.

Does the brand name matter?

It's optional. If you add it, it helps populate the brand scorecards, which is useful for other creators. If you'd rather not, you can leave it blank.

How is the data sourced?

All deals are self-reported by creators and stored anonymously. We do not independently verify individual deal amounts. Submissions go through a basic review to filter out obvious outliers and spam, and the 5-deal-per-segment minimum is enforced server-side in SQL so the anonymity rule cannot be bypassed.

Can brands submit or claim a profile?

No. Comped is a creators-only tool. Brands have no login, no dashboard, and no way to submit data, edit a scorecard, or contact creators through this platform. They appear here only because creators logged deals that mentioned them.

What if a segment has no community data yet?

We may show an industry estimate from a cited public rate report. It is labeled as an estimate, not verified, and is automatically replaced the moment that segment crosses 5 logged deals. Estimates carry only what the source actually publishes — a median, sometimes a low/high range — never deal counts, days-to-pay, or percentile spreads. Estimates also never appear on brand scorecards: a brand scorecard requires at least 3 real logged deals for that named brand.
